Glasgow Economic Leadership (GEL) is the strategic leadership body for economic development in Glasgow and Glasgow City Region. The GEL Board has a ‘triple helix’ membership that brings together senior leaders from academia, industry and the public sector. Its aim is to align and boost private and public investment in Glasgow / city region. GEL has responsibility for sectors (with several private sector-led-key sector work streams), innovation, Glasgow’s business messaging and overseeing the GEL Investment, Business Support and Skills ‘hubs’.
