Kim joined the John Lewis Partnership in 1982 as a Selling Assistant at John Lewis Nottingham. In 1989, when John Lewis opened its second store in Scotland, she moved to Aberdeen as a Department Manager and has enjoyed living in Scotland since that date. She was appointed Assistant General Manager in 2001 and Operations Selling Manager in 2004. In 2007 she was promoted to General Manager, John Lewis Aberdeen. Kim was elected as a Director to the John Lewis Partnership Board in 2007 where she also sits on the nominations committee.
Kim took up her post as Managing Director of the Buchanan Galleries store in 2010 and is chair of the Style Mile retailers association and is a Director on the Chamber of Commerce Council. Kim was a member of the Business and Industry Alignment workstream which reviewed the industry priorities, challenges and opportunities for Glasgow on behalf of the Glasgow Economic Commission.
Kim is a passionate gardener and loves nothing more than to tend her gardens at her home in Aberdeeenshire and her house in central Spain, where she tries to visit as often as possible to wind down and enjoy the sun, wine and peace and quiet.
